The Municipal Water Distribution Program has ended. The last day was Monday, November 7. With rain events being more frequent and many wells restored to at least usable levels, the urgency for this program has diminished. We give recognition to helpful residents who lent support to their neighbours. We also thank retailers who partnered with us as well as the Regional Emergency Measures Organization, Graves Island Provincial Park, and the Province of Nova Scotia.

We also thank everyone who reported a dry well as this information was valuable in identifying the areas of most urgent need. We will use this as baseline data in future if we need to.

As wells replenish, please refer to the Province of Nova Scotia's tips on safe well water  as well as how to disinfect wells.
