Quality Management

In 2012 Council adopted a Quality Policy stating their commitment to "delivering reliable services in the most efficient, effective, professional and financially responsible manner to enhance the quality of life for our citizens." To honour that pledge we apply a process approach whereby staff work across functional boundaries to reduce redundancies and increase responsiveness. Our Quality Management System (QMS) provides a consistent way for the Municipality to plan, deliver, measure and continually improve service delivery.

Although certifying our QMS to ISO 9001 is not a requirement, conforming to the standard is a sure means for streamlining operations and improving customer satisfaction and supplier relationships. We are working on ISO 9001:2015 certification by integrating the process approach within an enterprise-wide governance, risk management and internal control framework.
