NOTICE OF APPROVAL

In the matter of the Municipal Government Act and the Municipality of Chester

TAKE NOTICE THAT on September 11, 2025 Chester Municipal Council approved an Amending Development Agreement with Bear Lake Wind Ltd., Atlantic Star Forestry Ltd and Wagner Forest NS Ltd. to permit high capacity electrical generation facility use in the form of 1 wind turbine with maximum generating capacity of 8.5 megawatts and maximum height of 215 metres at PID 60408820, Highway 14. This facilitates a design change from the approved Development Agreement where there is 1 rather than 2 turbines, generating capacity reduction and height increase (from 207 m to 215 m).

This decision of Council can be appealed to the Nova Scotia Regulatory and Appeals Board (phone 1-902-424-1333 or 1-844-809-0010) by any aggrieved person, by the Provincial Director of Planning, or by the Council of an adjacent Municipality within fourteen (14) days after the date of the publication of this notice. This Notice was posted to the Municipal Website on September 11, 2025, therefore, the Appeal period ends on September 25, 2025.
