In the matter of the Municipal Government Act and the Municipality of the District of Chester
TAKE NOTICE THAT on Thursday, May 30, 2024, Chester Municipal Council provided intention to enter into a Development Agreement with Bear Lake Wind Farm Ltd., Atlantic Star Forestry Ltd and Wagner Forest NS Ltd. to permit the development of two wind turbines with combined maximum generating capacity of twelve (12) megawatts and maximum height of 207 metres at PID 60408820, Highway 14 (north of Sherwood).
A PUBLIC HEARING will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. and is being held in Municipal Council Chambers (151 King Street, Chester).
Residents can give their opinions at the Public Hearing by speaking in person or sending written comments to: Pamela Myra, Municipal Clerk, 151 King Street, PO Box 369, Chester, NS B0J 1J0 or pmyra@chester.ca.
Comments must be received before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20th, 2024.
Council may vote to approve or reject the proposed Development Agreement at the Council Meeting which will follow the conclusion of the Public Hearing.
