In the matter of the Municipal Government Act and the Municipality of the District of Chester
TAKE NOTICE THAT on Thursday, September 12, 2024, Chester Municipal Council gave 1st reading to amendments to the Chester Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw. The purpose of the amendments being to rezone lands surrounding Spectacle Lake. The change will see the Protected Watershed removed, being replaced by the Mixed Use Zone and General Basic Zone.
A PUBLIC HEARING will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 beginning at 8:45a.m. in Municipal Council Chambers (151 King Street, Chester).
Residents can give their opinions at the Public Hearing by speaking in person or sending written comments to: Pamela Myra, Municipal Clerk, 151 King Street, PO Box 369, Chester, NS B0J 1J0 or pmyra@chester.ca
Comments must be received before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024
Council may vote to approve or reject the amendments at the Council Meeting which will follow the conclusion of the Public Hearing.
