In the matter of the Municipal Government Act and the Municipality of the District of Chester
TAKE NOTICE THAT on Thursday, November 21, 2024, Chester Municipal Council gave 1st reading to amendments to the Chester Municipal Land Use Bylaw. The purpose of the amendments being to rezone lands surrounding Spectacle Lake. The change will see the Lakeside Zone applied to lands around Spectacle Lake, beginning at the Ordinary High Water Mark and extending 100m inland.
A PUBLIC HEARING will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 beginning at 6:00pm at East Chester Recreation Hall, 3292 Highway 3, East Chester, NS.
Residents can give their opinions at the Public Hearing by speaking in person or sending written comments to: Pamela Myra, Municipal Clerk, 151 King Street, PO Box 369, Chester, NS B0J 1J0 or pmyra@chester.ca.
Comments must be received before 4:30pm on Monday February 3rd, 2025
Council may vote to approve or reject the amendments following the Public Hearing.
