Notice of Public Hearing

In the matter of the Municipal Government Act and the  Municipality of the District of Chester

TAKE NOTICE THAT on Thursday, January 15, 2026, Chester Municipal Council provided intention to rezone the property to Mixed-Use Zone following a Development Agreement with George Haralabakos to permit the development of commercial units on PID 60082401, Simms Settlement.

 A PUBLIC HEARING will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. and is being held at the Hubbards Area Lions Club (21 Lions Club Rd,).

Residents can give their opinions at the Public Hearing by speaking in person or sending written comments to: Pamela Myra, Municipal Clerk, 151 King Street, PO Box 369, Chester, NS B0J 1J0 or pmyra@chester.ca.

Comments must be received before 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1^st, 2026.

Council may vote to approve or reject the proposed Rezone and/or Development Agreement amendments at the Council Meeting which will follow the conclusion of the Public Hearing.
