Old Man Luedecke
Chester’s favourite folk musician Old Man Luedecke plays his first show in the rebuilt Playhouse theatre and is joined by an exciting up and coming opening act!
Old Man Luedecke is the recording name of two time JUNO award winning and Polaris prize nominated singer songwriter, Chester’s own Chris Luedecke. A multiple East Coast Music Award winner (including the 2025 ECMA for Songwriter of the Year) known for his high energy banjo driven stompers, touching guitar ballads and dry humorous stories, Luedecke has been making a soundtrack to an authentic life for nearly twenty years.
Opening for this delightful concert is Nigerian award-winning Afro-folk singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Blessing Tangban. Her sound is a unique blend of soulful African melodies complemented by enchanting guitar strums fused with lyrics that are introspective and vulnerable. She sings in a style that is reminiscent of Norah Jones and her performance creates an ambiance that is serene and compelling.
