People's Portrait Prize Exhibition

Join us at the Chester Art Centre from January 9 to January 25, 2025 for the inaugural Nova Scotia People’s Portrait Prize, an exhibition showcasing the incredible portrait and figurative talent of artists from Lunenburg County. Featuring a diverse range of works in all mediums, this community-driven event celebrates creativity at all levels. Visitors will have the opportunity to cast their votes for the People’s Choice Award, helping choose the winner of this exciting prize! Don’t miss the Closing Reception and Awards Gala on January 25, where prizes—including the People’s Choice Award—will be announced. Free to the public.

Artists who wish to include their work can visit chesterartcentre.ca for submission guidelines. Artists of all ages (including children), all abilities, and working in all mediums can participate. Artwork drop-off date is January 4th, 2025.
