Spoon-Making
Join Us for a Spoon-Making Workshop at Ross Farm Museum!
Unleash your creativity and connect with history at our hands-on spoon-making workshop! Delve into the age-old craft of woodworking and learn how to transform a simple piece of wood into a beautifully carved spoon. Guided by one of our skilled Ross Farm Craftsmen, you’ll explore traditional techniques, discover the stories behind the craft, and create your unique utensil to take home.
This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, whether you’re a beginner or have some experience. Tools and supplies will be provided. The practice spoon will be made out of pine, and the project spoon will be made of poplar. You can enjoy the serene surroundings of Ross Farm Museum, where history comes alive, and leave with not just a spoon but also a newfound appreciation for craftsmanship.
