Village Planning Advisory Committee Meeting

A meeting of the Village Planning Advisory Committee will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 beginning at 3:00pm in Municipal Council Chambers (151 King Street, Chester).

Agenda items include: 

(a) Discussion on remaining issues identified with the draft Secondary Planning Strategy and Land Use By-Law:

• Highway Commercial Zone
• Adding a definition of "density"
• Coastal Protection Regulations

(b) Committee discussion: any other outstanding issues to be addressed in the Village Plan Review.
(c) Start time for future VPAC Meetings
(d) Any other planning matters.

Committee meetings are open to the public to attend and view the proceedings. The Committee is currently open to hearing from members of the public on items directly related to the Agenda. This includes issues or concerns with the latest draft of the new Village Secondary Planning Strategy and Land Use By-Law. Any issues raised may be discussed with the Committee for a potential recommendation back to Council to implement changes.
