Donate and drop-off your gear: Tuesday, May 20 at the Recreation & Parks Office, 186 Central Street in Chester (lower level off parking lot) from 4:00-7:00pm.
Gear exchange/sale: Tuesday, June 24 at the Recreation & Parks Office, 186 Central Street in Chester from 4:00-7:00pm.
Our gear exchange goals:
- Reduce the barriers some people face to enjoying the outdoors.
- Keep gear out of landfill, and give it a new life outside of your closet.
- Encourage more people to spend more time outside.
How it works:
- Bring your gear to our office on May 20. Fill out an intake form with your name, email, phone number, address, what you originally paid for the item if you can remember, and a suggested resale price.
- From May 20 to June 24 we will try to gift the gear to our local schools to support outdoor education programs, or with other deserving groups or families through PRO Kids.
- Gear that remains will be sold on June 24. The proceeds from any items sold will go directly to PRO Kids (e.g. this is not a consignment service, and the donor will not receive cash value for donated items).
- In the days prior to June 24 we will post a list of the items that will be available for sale on this pages.
