Community Wheels (Municipality of Chester Transportation Society) is an inclusive community-based transportation for all residents of the Municipality of the District of Chester. Operating on a pre-booked basis for door-to-door service we offer transportation for all purposes such as medical appointments/services, banking, grocery shopping, recreation, socialization, etc.
We believe everyone, no matter their age, income, ability or location, deserves access to transportation. We exist to remove barriers and provide independence and transit for residents and visitors of The Municipality of The District of Chester. Lack of transportation should never keep you from making your medical appointments.
- If you’re uncomfortable driving in winter weather, we ensure you can still get your groceries and/or get to work with peace of mind.
- Mobility combats isolation with more opportunities to easily connect with your community.
- Explore the beautiful South Shore area and enjoy yourself worry free knowing someone is there to safely get you home.
Community Wheels is a member of the Rural Transportation Association, a group of similar transportation organizations across the province of Nova Scotia.
