Village Planning Advisory Committee Meeting

A meeting of the Village Planning Advisory Committee will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 beginning at 3:00 p.m. in Municipal Council Chambers (151 King Street, Chester)

Agenda items include: 

• Discussion on remaining issues identified with the draft Secondary Planning Strategy and Land Use By-Law by Council:  

               . Consider reducing/rezoning/amending Core Commercial Zone along Valley Road
​​​​​​​               .  Density concerns (allowance for Accessory Dwelling Units)

• Committee discussion: any other outstanding issues to be addressed in the Village Plan Review.
• Discussion on process for confirming public submissions and speakers for future meeting Agendas
• Any other planning matters.

Committee meetings are open to the public to attend and view the proceedings. The Committee is currently open to hearing from members of the public on items directly related to the Agenda. This includes issues or concerns with the latest draft of the new Village Secondary Planning Strategy and Land Use By-Law. Any issues raised may be discussed with the Committee for a potential recommendation back to Council to implement changes.
