Village Planning Advisory Committee Meeting

A meeting of the Village Planning Advisory Committee will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 beginning at 3:00 pm. in Municipal Council Chambers (151 King Street, Chester)

Agenda items include: 

• Coastal Protection Regulations Discussion/Update
• Definition(s) for Density
• Water Strategy Discussion
• Any other issues or topics related to the Draft Village Planning Documents
• Correspondence received from Nicola Hubbard & Brett Mudford (email related to lot coverage)
• Correspondence received from Nova Scotia Environment (response to information on on-site well regulations)
• Correspondence received from Council via motion to conclude review and provide recommendations on Draft Village Planning Documents to Council by January 2025
• Any other planning matters.

Committee meetings are open to the public to attend. The Committee is open to hearing from members of the public on items directly related to the Agenda. This includes issues or concerns with the latest draft of the new Village Secondary Planning Strategy and Land Use by-Law. Any issues raised may be discussed with the Committee for a potential recommendation back to Council.
