So what is stopping you?

We understand that there can be challenges when considering running for municipal office. The current Council is considering steps to reduce some of the barriers that may prevent some potential candidates from running.

Some of those challenges are time of meetings, child care costs, fair compensation and health supports, lack of regular transportation, accessibility accommodations, campaigning experience, etc.
If there is something that is preventing you from candidacy besides lack of interest, please let us know!

Campaign Schools

We will host two Campaign School sessions in the Municipal Office.

  • August 14    6:00 to 8:30 p.m.
  • August 21    2:00 to 4:30 p.m.

If you are interested in local government, but on the fence about running, please register for one of the sessions and learn more! Register by calling the Municipal Election Office.
