ActivitiesThe Municipality has been working on a more inclusive governance model, including reviewing existing policies, frameworks, services, and programs. Municipal Council works with its Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee as well as regionally with the other municipal units in Lunenburg County to meet the needs of our residents and business sectors with regard to challenges that our existing systems may pose.
Recently, the Municipality signed off on a Regional Accessibility Action Plan and is addressing a list of priorities for the coming fiscal year and beyond to 2028. Council has also updated and adopted a local action plan for equity, diversity, and inclusion (Our Vision, Our Strategy).
